Newbiggin by the Sea Sailing Club Winter Series - Week 2

Newbiggin by-the-Sea Sailing Club held its second day's racing at the Queen Elizabeth's II Country Park on Sunday 11th November. Racing took place with a handicap fleet of an Enterprise, two Lasers, a 420, a Miracle, and two RS200's, sailing a ‘figure of eight-like’ course around the Lake.
The Lasers of Phil Murray (TSC) and Ian Henery (NSC) dominated both Races. With Phil Murray winning Race One and Ian Henery winning Race Two. They were constantly followed by the RS200’s of the Murray’s and Chris Graham and Amy Punshon.
The wind was very fluky with strong winds at the bottom of the lake and very light winds at the top of the lake, thus causing the 420 of Neal Gibson and Simon Napper to capsize in Race One.
