’Team Legato’ to be named by Lenny Henry

Author: The Race Press OfficeLenny Henry, who sailed with Tony Bullimore in a recent transatlantic record
attempt, 'Lenny's Atlantic Adventure' is flying in to Bristol tomorrow,
(Friday Dec 1) to crack the champagne over Team Legato, Tony's 102ft
catamaran entry in THE RACE - a 27,000 mile non-stop circumnavigation to
mark the Millennium, starting from Barcelona on December 31.

The record setting multihull brought traffic to a halt around Bristol Docks
earlier this week, when she was craned over Prince Street Bridge in
readiness for this official naming ceremony.
"I'm very pleased to have Lenny back onboard for the launch. He's a great
shipmate" said Tony today.

"If conditions go against us tonight, we may even ask him to help us with
the rigging!" he added.

High winds forecast for this afternoon, threaten to delay the stepping of
Team Legato's hi-tech carbonfibre wing mast, which arrived by road from
Southampton earlier today. "We will work all night if necessary to have Team
Legato fully rigged in time for the ceremony, but we are not going to risk
damaging the spar and if necessary, will postpone that task until after the
Naming" Bullimore confirmed.

Bullimore will also announce his 10 man crew for this exciting challenge.

Charles M Lucci, the Vice President of Legato Systems Inc. will be the
master of ceremonies. Legato, a global IT company headquartered in
California, has offices in Maidenhead, Paris and Barcelona, and specialise
in protecting data worldwide.
