Maxi-catamaran Orange about to be launched

The maxi-catamaran Orange will get her first taste of excitement after her Christmas launch followed by initial sea trials off La Ciotat. Indeed by the end of December, Bruno Peyron and his fellow crewmembers will have had their first sailing experience with the boat in preparation for the Jules Verne Trophy, the fully crewed round the world sprint in less than 80 days.
On this occasion, Bruno Peyron will be present at the yard in La Ciotat on Friday 28th December next to report on the state of preparation of the yacht Orange.
Orange, a France Tйlйcom subsidiary, is the principal partner of Bruno Peyron's maxi-catamaran. Orange will be demonstrating its line of business and products by developing multimedia mobile content dedicated to this event (the vocal kiosk 711, SMS, WAP and the internet site orange.fr).
By drawing on the resources of its research centre, France Tйlйcom R&D, France Tйlйcom will be responsible for the fitting out of the boat with all the means of communications, voice, data and images.
From the most advanced information to the most intense emotions, these means of communication will enable the public to follow this event right in the heart of the feat and alongside the men who will be accomplishing it.
