EDS Atlantic Challenge - Leg 1 Day Three

Radio Interview Extracts:

Mark Turner, Kingfisher. "We had dinner 'a la Ellen' last night, not
generally her strong point, but it was exceptionally good - rehydrated
macaroni cheese with tuna. Between that and this morning's rehydrated
yoghurt and muesli, we're in pretty good shape."

Miranda Merron, Ecover. "We are pleased to be up with Kingfisher and Sill.
They are optimised to sail better upwind than us and since this race has
been upwind all the way from France, we are very happy with our
performance."

Roland Jourdain, Sill Plein Fruit. "It's a passionate battle at the front
of the fleet here with Ellen and Mike. Every three hours our team huddles
around the computer to look at the new positions online. We're controlling
our British friends, but there's still everything to play for."

Josh Hall, Gartmore. "We made a tactical move yesterday by tacking in
towards the coast of Holland. It was either that or follow the leaders. It
seemed to pay off, but it also allowed Fila to make some gains. We are now
watching them very closely. They are only a few miles away."

Helena Darvelid, Alphagraphics. "Carol (Archer) and I have been working very well together. In fact we both had our heads in the engine compartment this morning fixing the engine and came out covered in grease."

Andrea Scarabelli, Fila. "The wind is light near the coast. We have caught
up to Gartmore and will work hard to pass them this afternoon. Meanwhile
last night we had a nice pasta dinner."

Loic Pochet, La Rage de Vivre. "I am very happy with the boat and how it
has been sailing. We have not broken anything. Once we get our new sails
in Portsmouth then we will be able to make a real competition with the
other boats."
